A veteran journalist with a passion for truth and storytelling, Jim Willse has led some of the most influential newspapers in the country. As editor of The New York Daily News (1989-1993) and The Star-Ledger (1995-2011), he championed investigative journalism, guiding teams to win two Pulitzer Prizes and secure eight finalist nominations. His leadership was recognized in 2000 when he was named Editor of the Year by the National Press Foundation. With a sharp eye for compelling narratives, Jim has also shaped the next generation of writers, teaching nonfiction courses at Princeton University. His love for the written word and dedication to public service continue to drive his involvement with Planetwalk.
