An ecologist, conservation biologist, and educator, Dr. David Morimoto is dedicated to understanding and protecting the natural world. As Chair of the Natural Science and Mathematics Department and a Professor of Biology at Lesley University, he specializes in ecology, ornithology, and animal behavior. His research has focused on the effects of forest fragmentation on bird populations in Massachusetts, as well as urban bird conservation efforts. David is deeply committed to experiential education, leading courses in Environmental Field Research, New England Field Studies, and Tropical Ecology. His ability to connect students with nature and inspire action makes him a vital contributor to Planetwalk’s educational and kindness initiatives.
